March 27- While on patrol, University Police noticed an unmanned parked vehicle with its headlights on and engine running in Lower Stadium Lot A. Officers turned off the engine and made contact with the owner of the vehicle. The owner stated that when they had returned and parked, it was raining very heavily, so they quickly exited the vehicle and ran to their dorm, leaving the engine running.

March 27- University Police received an ePhone activation outside Building D. Dispatch determined that a parent had arrived to pick up their daughter and was unaware that the phone was designated for emergency use.

March 27- University Police received multiple ePhone activations reported to dispatch. Officers responded to the area but did not observe anyone in the vicinity. A message was left with IATS requesting that they check the alarm system.

March 28- University Police responded to a fire alarm activation in Rhodes Hall. Upon the officers’ arrival, they observed that the building had been fully evacuated. During their investigation, it was determined that a resident smoking a cigar had caused the alarm to activate. The incident is currently under investigation.

March 28- University Police received a call from the Gannon University Police Department requesting a contact number for an individual regarding an incident that had occurred at their university. The individual’s information was then provided to the requesting officer.

March 31- University Police received a complaint of harassment from an individual in Building B who stated the issue had been occurring intermittently. The incident was referred to Student Standards.

April 1- University Police received a call from a concerned grandparent requesting a welfare check on their granddaughter, as they had not heard from her throughout the day. Officers responded to Rhodes Hall and made contact with the individual, who stated that her cell phone was not functioning. Officers allowed her to use a department-issued phone to contact her family and confirm her well-being.
