When I first changed my major to Emerging Technology and Multimedia, I thought the name sounded a little broad. I realized I had to figure out what I’m best at and apply what I have learned so far here at Slippery Rock to help me narrow down what I want my career to be after I graduate. This is why I applied to The Rocket for the web and social media editor position. I really enjoyed the Interactive Multimedia class in which I learned the basics of web design, and of course I’m familiar with social media. I figured it would be a good start for me to start applying what I have learned in school to something meaningful and as part of a team. After I graduate I would like to work in a similar position, either with web design or the development/design of social media. When I’m not working or in class, I like to play guitar and write music, and I also like to fish. Keep it reel.
