Mystery Mayhem Escapes & Axe Throwing will celebrate its 10-year anniversary Oct. 28 with “Don’t Break the Seal,” a promotion offering groups the chance to win prizes, including a decade-long pass to its escape rooms and ax-throwing.
From Oct. 28 through the end of November, each group that visits will receive an envelope sealed with the Mystery Mayhem logo. Brenda and Scott Jones, owners of Mystery Mayhem Escapes & Axe Throwing, said groups can return anytime in January 2027 to open their envelopes and redeem their prizes.
“To redeem it, come back anytime in January, so Jan. 1 through the 31. Book your reservation and then when you come in, bring this with you and we’ll open it right in front of you and see what you’ve won,” Scott Jones said.
Prizes also include a free escape room or ax-throwing sessions, t-shirts for an entire group, discounts on a game and a take home copy of EXIT: The Game.
“It could be a free escape room or ax throwing session, it could be t-shirts for the whole crew, it could be a 25% off today’s game…And, of course, the grand prize: the decade-long pass,” Brenda Jones said.
Mystery Mayhem currently offers three unique escape rooms: Atlantis, Casino Heist and The Lion’s Den, a jungle-themed room. The business also offers ax-throwing with projected targets that allow participants to play a variety of games.
“There’s about 12 different games that you can play with the projector targets, like tic-tac-toe, Battleship, things like that,” Brenda Jones said.
Scott Jones said that Mystery Mayhem plans to introduce a haunted radio station-themed escape room in early 2027, replacing Casino Heist.
“If you haven’t been in to do that room yet, definitely come in before it’s gone,” Scott Jones said. “The next room’s going to be a haunted radio station theme, so that’ll be ready sometime early next year, hopefully.”
Reservations can be made at mysterymayhemescapes.com. Customers can also call 724-541-3533 with questions.
“Make your appointment, and then just come in and have fun,” Scott Jones said.
