Sept. 10– University Police and EMS responded for an individual experiencing a seizure. The individual was transported to Grove City Medical Center.
Sept. 10– University Police received a call from Butler 911 advising that an ambulance was dispatched for an individual experiencing an allergic reaction. Health Center staff advised that they did not request police assistance. No police action was taken.
Sept. 10– University Police responded to a fire alarm. The responding officer determined that air from a fan was blowing directly onto a smoke detector, causing the alarm to activate. The alarm panel was reset.
Sept. 11– University Police observed rubbish along the roadway and walkway. After investigating, police identified individuals and charges are pending.
Sept. 11– University Police responded to a fire alarm activation. The responding officer could not determine the cause. Police left a message with Safety and the alarm panel was reset.
Sept. 11– University Police received a call regarding a possibly injured pigeon outside of a building. The responding officer determined the pigeon appeared to be okay and advised the caller to close the facility door.
Sept. 11– While on patrol and stopped at a pedestrian crosswalk, another vehicle failed to stop and struct the rear of the police vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were drivable and Pennsylvania State Police was contacted to investigate.
Sept. 12– University Police received a report of damage to an elevator. Officers investigated and identified the individuals involved. Charges are pending.
Sept. 12– Slippery Rock Police requested assistance in locating an individual reportedly breaking into vehicles. Pennsylvania State Police also responded to assist. The individual was located and taken into custody by Slippery Rock Police.
Sept. 12– University Police were dispatched for an individual lying on the ground. The individual was identified, found to be okay and refused medical assistance. No further action was taken.
Sept. 13– University Police are investigating a report of an individual making vulgar remarks on Instagram.
Sept. 13– A CA reported a highly intoxicated individual roaming the hallways and knocking on doors. University Police located the individual, took them into custody and transported them to the police station. The individual parents were notified and responded to the station to pick up their child. The individual was cited for underage drinking and public drunkenness.
Sept. 13– University Police responded to an ePhone activation. Upon investigation, three individuals were issued non-traffic citations.
Sept. 13– University Police received an elevator ePhone activation. The dispatcher determined that an individual had accidentally pressed the call button.
Sept. 16– Butler 911 requested University Police assistance for a highly intoxicated individual who was subsequently released to a friend who arrived on scene.
Sept. 13– University Police responded to a fire alarm activation. The responding officer could not determine the cause. Police left a message with Safety and the alarm panel was reset.
Sept. 13– University Police received an ePhone activation. The dispatcher determined that individuals carrying move-in tubs had accidentally activated the ePhone.
Sept. 13– University Police responded to a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, the building was evacuated. The alarm was caused by a faulty duct detector. Maintenance and Safety were notified and they reset the alarm panel. The building was then cleared for reentry.
Sept. 14– University Police and EMS responded to an individual experiencing strep-related issues. They transported the individual to Grove City Medical Center.
Sept. 14– University Police were requested by the CA to conduct a welfare check on an individual who may have needed medical treatment. Police spoke with the individual, who stated they were okay.
Sept. 14– University Police are currently investigating a report of harassment.
Sept. 14– University Police received a fire alarm activation and contacted Safety. Safety determined the alarm was caused by burnt food. The alarm panel was then reset.
Sept. 14– University Police are investigating a report of damage to a vehicle caused by unknown person(s) while it was parked in a parking lot.
Sept. 15– University Police were requested to conduct a welfare check on an individual reported to be having thoughts of self-harm. Police and EMS responded and the individual was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital.
Sept. 15– University Police responded to a fire alarm activation. The responding officer determined that burnt popcorn caused the activation. The alarm panel was reset.
Sept. 15– University Police and EMS were dispatched for an individual experiencing dizziness and feeling faint. EMS evaluated the individual, who refused treatment. No further action was taken.
Sept. 16– University Police responded to an individual who was reportedly experiencing a seizure and requested EMS to respond. EMS arrived on scene and evaluated the individual, who refused further medical treatment and transportation to the hospital. No further police action was taken.
Sept. 16– University Police responded to an ePhone activation. The responding officer determined that a preschool student had accidentally pressed the call button.
Sept. 16– University Police responded to a loud music complaint. Upon arrival, no loud music or excessive noise was heard. Police cleared the scene without incident.
