November 19 – University police responded to a call from Building A for an odor of marijuana. Officer contacted the resident and detected the odor. The incident was referred to Student Standards.

November 19 – Police received a call that two males were damaging a university orientation sign near Morrow Way. The officer on the scene was unable to locate the individuals after searching the area. The case is still under investigation.

November 20 – University police assisted Slippery Rock Borough police with traffic control for a disabled vehicle in the roadway.

November 21 – University police assisted Slippery Rock Borough police on Franklin Street with a domestic call that started at Sheetz.

November 21 – University police received a call from an individual who stated that an unknown person or person took their catalytic converter. University police responded to a total of three reports of the same nature. Slippery Rock Borough police also took reports of the same crime. SRUPD charged Myracle Hall, 20, Jordan Klinefelter, 22, Kelvin Williams, 25 and Demetrius Williams, 21 with three counts of theft and three counts of receiving stolen property. Both charges are felonies.

November 21 – Police responded to a panic alarm from the desk of Building D. Police checked the area and determined it was an accidental trip.

November 21 – Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) called university police for assistance with a fight by the food truck. SRUPD responded but found no one fighting. PSP arrived on the scene and handled the report.

November 23 – University police responded to a panic alarm at Building D. Officer talked to the desk attendant who thought they bumped the alarm. Officer was unable to reset the alarm system and notified Safety.

November 24 – Police responded to a panic alarm at the Aebersold Recreation Center. Staff said no one activated the alarm. The officer on scene found the alarm system was not in activation mode and notified Safety.

November 24 – University police charged Ozzy Moore, 18, with one summary count of criminal mischief. Police allege Moore damaged a light post near Buildings D and E after jumping over it and striking it with his foot.

November 25 – Police responded to an intruder alarm at Old Main. The alarm was accidentally set off by personnel doing repairs inside the building. The alarm system was reset.

November 26 – Police responded to a panic alarm at Building D. No one was in the building. Police left a message with Safety.

November 27 – University police responded to a panic alarm at Building D. No one was present and police notified Safety. About 25 minutes later, the panic alarm was activated again. Police found no one inside and notified Safety.

November 30 – University police assisted Slippery Rock Borough police with a suspected DUI traffic stop on Grove City Road. University police transported the passenger to their residence. No further action was taken by SRUPD.

December 1 – Police responded to a panic alarm at Building D. Officer on scene found no one around. A message was left with Safety.

December 1 – University police responded to a fire alarm at the Boiler Plant. Officers on scene found heavy smoke inside and Slippery Rock Fire Department was dispatched, along with multiple neighboring departments. The building was cleared but the cause has not been determined.

December 4 – Police responded to an intruder alarm at Old Main. The officer on scene discovered maintenance personnel inside who were not aware the building alarm was armed. The alarm system was reset.

December 4 – Slippery Rock Borough Police requested assistance with a vehicle accident along New Castle Street. University police assisted with traffic control.

December 8 – University police received a call from an individual who said they believed there were flames coming from the roof of the Boiler Plant. Officers on scene determined it was only steam exiting a smokestack and reflecting off orange lights on the side of the building.

December 9 – Police responded to an intruder alarm at Old Main that was set off by personnel entering the building. The alarm system was reset.

December 9 – Police received a panic alarm activation at the Maltby Center. The officer on scene found no one was in the building. Safety was notified and the alarm system was reset. University police responded to seven more panic alarm activations at Maltby the rest of the day.

December 10 – University police responded to an intruder alarm at Old Main. The alarm was set off by maintenance. The alarm system was reset.

December 12 – Slippery Rock Borough Police requested assistance with a possible DUI along Grove City Road. University police arrived on the scene but took no further action.

December 13 – University police were requested to assist with a domestic call on North Main Street. The person left prior to the police arrival. Police took the report and advised the person to obtain a PFA.

December 13 – University police observed a person dumping garbage in a dumpster near the Morrow Field House Track. Police identified the person and advised them they could not dump garbage on campus. The person removed the garbage.

December 14 – Police received a complaint of fraud via email requesting large sums of money for outstanding invoices. University police with the assistance of the FBI is continuing the investigation.

December 14 – Slippery Rock Borough Police requested assistance with a traffic stop along South Main Street. University police arrived on the scene and stood by. No further action was taken by the police.

December 15 – Police received a panic alarm activation at the Maltby Center. The officer on scene found no one inside. The alarm system was reset, and Safety was notified.

December 16 – University police responded to the Maltby Center for a panic alarm. No one was found at the building. The alarm system was reset. The panic alarm was activated again six hours later. Safety was notified and responded to the building to work on the issue.

December 16 – A motorist called university police about having difficulty driving through the intersection of South Main Street and Kiester Road. Officers arrived on the scene and notified Butler Control who contacted PennDOT to salt the roadway.

December 16 – Slippery Rock Borough police arrived at the university police station to review security camera footage to assist with a hit and run that occurred in the borough.

December 17 – Slippery Rock Borough police notified university police of a vehicle towing a person on a sled in the BSB Commuter Lot. The officer on scene advised individuals and all parties left. No further police action was taken.

December 18 – Police responded to an altercation between staff members at Art Building I. One person was transported to Grove City Medical Center for injuries. Police charged Anthony Colosimo, 53, with one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct and a summary count of harassment.

December 19 – A person arrived at the police station to report they were sexually assaulted in the spring of 2018. The case is under investigation.

December 20 – Slippery Rock Borough Police requested assistance with a possible DUI along South Main Street. An undisclosed number of drugs seized during the stop.

December 21 – University police responded to an intruder alarm at the Fowler Building. The alarm was set off by custodial staff entering the building. The alarm system was reset.

December 22 – Police responded to a fire alarm activation at Watson Hall. The alarm was set off by plumbers working inside the building. The alarm system was reset.

December 23 – University police responded to an intruder alarm at the Ski Lodge. The alarm was set off by a housekeeper for the recreation facilities. The alarm system was reset.

December 27 – Police responded to multiple sprinkler supervisory alarms in Miller Auditorium. The officer on location found all to be ok. Safety was notified.

December 28 – Police received a call for possible theft from central receiving. Anthony Stoner, 70, was charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking and one count of receiving stolen property, both are misdemeanors. Police allege Stoner took 25 SRU-branded facemasks to be sold online.

December 31 – University police assisted Slippery Rock Borough police along South Main Street for a possible DUI.

January 1 – Pennsylvania State Police requested assistance from university police at Sheetz. Police assisted with an individual who would not leave the store.

January 2 – University police assisted Pennsylvania State Police with an alarm at Slippery Rock Area High School. Officers found everything secure.

January 3 – University police responded to an alarm inside a room at the ROCK Apartments. The room was checked by police who found nothing wrong. The alarm system was reset.

January 4 – Police received a call from 911 to assist Slippery Rock Borough police with a traffic stop along South Main Street. One person was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Drug paraphernalia was confiscated at the scene.

January 6 – University police received a call for a vehicle accident near Harmony Road and North Road. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the accident.

January 9 – Slippery Rock Borough Police requested assistance with a disturbance inside an apartment on Cornish Drive. Parties were spoken to and one person left the apartment for the night.

January 14 – Police received a trouble alarm at Swope Music Building. The officer observed the power was out for the lower end of campus and reported no power at the Swope Music Building. Maintenance was notified.

January 14 – Police responded to a fire alarm activation at the Smith Student Center. Maintenance arrived on the scene and reported heavy smoke on the third floor. The cause of the smoke was determined to be a transformer in the electrical room. The power to the building was turned off.

January 14 – University police received a call from an individual who said they tripped on the sidewalk near the McKay Staff Parking Lot. The person reported broken glass near the Day Care play area. Maintenance was notified and the glass was cleaned up.

January 15 – Pennsylvania State Police arrived at the police station to utilize the Datamaster for a possible DUI.

January 16 – Slippery Rock Borough police requested back up with a traffic stop along Oak Street. While the SRUPD officer was en route the call was canceled.

January 16 – University police assisted Slippery Rock Borough police with a motor vehicle accident on Franklin Street. SRUPD assisted with traffic control.

January 16 – Police received multiple calls of vehicles off the roadway on Harmony Road due to icy road conditions. Officers arrived on the scene and closed the road. All vehicles were removed, and the roadway was salted by the Slippery Rock Township road crew. The road was reopened with no injuries reported.

January 16 – University police responded to a fire alarm at the Vincent Science Center. The officer on scene checked the building but found no signs of a fire. The alarm system was reset, and Safety was notified.

January 16 – Slippery Rock Borough police utilized the Datamaster for a possible DUI violation.

January 17 – A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend came to her apartment at Pine Glen and assaulted her along with damaging items in the apartment. Dispatched notified Pennsylvania State Police who arrived at the station and spoke with the individuals. No further action was taken by the university police.

January 20 – University police received a complaint of vandalism at the Smith Student Center. Graffiti was found on the chillers, located on the roof of the building. The case is under investigation.
