Do you ever feel like Valentine’s Day comes up so fast and, as a college student, you never really have time for plans or money to spend?
Between classes, work and everything else going on, it’s easy to feel stressed. Instead of stressing about it this year, my friends and I kept it low-key and threw a last-minute Galentine’s night. It ended up being exactly what we needed.
If you are thinking about doing your own Galentine’s night, here are some simple ideas to make it stress-free and fun.
1. Keep it low-key
Don’t overthink it, and no pressure to make it perfect. This is your time to enjoy each other’s company, laugh and hang out.
2. Wear comfy PJs
Throw on some comfy pajamas. It helps make the night feel cozy and relaxed.
3. Movie Marathon
We all picked our favorite movies and got to watch them throughout the night. The movie was more for background noise while we talked and laughed.
4. Have heart-shaped treats
To help split the cost, each person brought a heart-shaped treat so we had options! It was also a blast seeing what everyone showed up with.
5. Do one easy activity
One simple activity will make the night fun without adding any more stress! We painted on small canvases with Valentine’s-themed designs, but anything works.
Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to feel stressful or be picture-perfect. Sometimes the best nights are the simple ones that remind you that all you really need are your friends, some yummy treats and a chill night in.
