April 2nd- University Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Keister Road. Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with both vehicle operators who were uninjured and refused medical treatment. The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) were notified and responded due to the accident having occurred within Slippery Rock Township jurisdiction. 

April 2nd- University Police are investigating a reportable motor vehicle accident in which an individual struck two parked vehicles in the Smith commuter parking lot. Pry’s Towing was notified and responded to the scene. No injuries were reported. 

April 2nd- University Police received a complaint from an individual stating that, while their vehicle was parked in the West Lake commuter parking lot, an unknown individual(s) attempted to break into it. Upon investigation, officers determined that the incident had occurred at the individual’s permanent residence. The individual was advised to contact their local police department for further assistance. 

April 2nd- University Police received an email regarding a suspicious individual near Old Main. Police followed up with the contractor and an incident report was filed. No other action was taken at this time. 

April 2nd- University Police are investigating a reported theft of a Slippery Rock University-owned sign from the Smith commuter parking lot.

April 5th- University Police received a call to report harassment in Building E. The individual was referred to the PSP.

April 6th- University Police received a call for a suspicious individual. After speaking with the individual in question, they were taken to Butler Hospital by police for evaluation.

April 8th- University Police were dispatched for a report of an individual stuck inside the service elevator on the third floor of the Smith Student Center. Police and maintenance responded, reset the elevator and were able to free the individual without incident. 

April 8th- University Police responded to an intruder alarm activation at Old Main. Upon arrival, the responding officer spoke with the individual on site who reported that, after entering the access code, the alarm panel began displaying trouble signals and other issues, including a low battery warning. Maintenance and Safety personnel were notified and the officer subsequently reset the alarm panel.
