January 28– University Police responded to a vehicle on Kiester Road that had slid into a snowbank and was unable to move. Officers arrived on scene and, with assistance from residents in the area, the vehicle was freed from the snow. No further action was taken by police.

January 30th– University Police responded to a fire alarm activation in Building F. Upon the officer’s arrival, they observed smoke in the hallway. Police spoke with residents who stated their trash can had caught on fire and that they had extinguished it. Slippery Rock Fire Department was dispatched to air out the resident dorm room. No damage was reported, and the fire alarm was reset.

January 30th– University Police received a call from a Community Assistant (CA) stating that an individual wearing an I.C.E. hat and a face mask was driving around campus. Police searched the campus but were unable to locate the suspect.

January 31st– University Police received a call from a Community Assistant (CA) in Building B reporting an alcohol violation. Police arrived and discovered alcohol in a residential dorm room. Several individuals were cited for underage drinking.

February 1st– Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) called University Police to ask for assistance with a vehicular break-in on New Castle Street. Slippery Rock Police Department located and detained the suspect until PSP arrived and took custody of the individual.

February 2nd– University Police responded to a water flow alarm activation. Upon the officer’s arrival, it was determined the waterline had ruptured and water was flowing through the main entrance and lobby. The building was evacuated, and Safety and Maintenance was called to respond. The officer located the water valve, shut it off and contained the water. Upon the arrival of Maintenance and Safety, it was deemed students could re-enter the building.

February 8th– University Police received a call for assistance with a fight currently in progress at Subway on Main Street. Police were able to identify the individuals involved, and borough police plan to file charges.

February 10th– University Police and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) were dispatched for an individual who was unconscious and suspected of having had a heart attack in Boozel Dining Hall. Police and EMS arrived on scene, and the person was transported to Grove City Medical Center.
