April 12 – University Police received a fire alarm activation in Watson Hall and notified Safety to respond. Safety arrived and spoke to maintenance personnel working on the buildings plumbing. The determined cause was excessive steam.

April 12 – University Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Rock Pride Drive with no injuries. The officer arrived and spoke with the vehicle operators who said they struck the other vehicle while they were backing out of a parking space. One driver was issued a traffic citation. Both vehicles were drivable.

April 13 – An individual called University Police notifying them of an sign falling on another individual from a pole. The individual sustained minor injuries and refused to be checked out by an ambulance.

April 13 – An individual called University Police from Suite F to notify them about “being harassed by an ‘EX.’” The officer obtained all information and the case remains under investigation.

April 13 – Pa. State Police (PSP) requested assistance from University Police for a domestic occurrence on Cornish Drive. University Police checked the area by the description given and nobody was found. All units cleared without incident.

April 13 – University Police received an Emergency Phone activation and responded to Suite F. The police found the individual who pressed the button who admitted he hit it and thought it would be funny. Police advised the individual not do this again.

April 14 – University Police received two calls about possible scams involving students getting arrested. They callers were advised to contact their local police department since this was not in University Police’s jurisdiction.

April 14 – University Police observed an intoxicated individual in the ARC. The person was checked by EMS and a friend took the person back to their residence.

April 14 – University Police observed an intoxicated person at the Wiz Khalifa concert. The person was escorted and released with a area coordinator after being checked by medics.

April 15 – University Police received a call from Rock Apartment 3 for a person banging on the caller’s window. University Police stopped an individual matching the description. The individual who was stopped was intoxicated and giving false information. The individual was taken back to SRUPD for identification. Charges are pending.

April 15 – An individual at the University Police station filed a report for an incident in Union Commuter Lot. While attempting to park, another individual became angry and screamed profanity while the individual parked their car and left. The case is currently under investigation.

April 16 – University Police received a call from an individual stating they witnessed a vehicle strike another vehicle while attempting to park in West Lake Commuter Lot and left the area. The officer arrived and spoke to the individual who gave a description of the vehicle. The investigation officer identified the individual who was issued a traffic citation.

April 16 – University Police received a call from an individual stating their vehicle was damaged while parked on campus in the PT Lot. The investigating officer determined the suspect’s vehicle registration and the case is currently under investigation.

April 16 – Slippery Rock Borough Police (SRPD) requested assistance regarding CYS responding to a residence on West Cooper Street. University Police arrived and stood by while the borough conducted their investigation.

April 18 – University Police received a call from an individual stating they ahead backed into another vehicle in the PT parking lot. University Police contacted the owner of the damaged vehicle who arrived on the scene. Both individuals exchanged the required information.
