August 23 – Police responded to an odor of marijuana from North Hall. Jacob Zurynski, 18, was cited with disorderly conduct.

August 23 – Police responded to an alcohol violation in Building E. The case was referred to Student Standards.

August 24 – Police were dispatched to Building E for a possible individual who was unconscious in her room. Raisa Rogers, 19, was cited with an alcohol violation.

August 24 – Police responded to a call that an individual was passed out by the gazebo in the quad. EMS was notified and the individual was transported to the hospital.

August 24 – Health Center staff called dispatch to request an ambulance for an individual having an allergic reaction.

August 24 – Slippery Rock Borough Police requested assistance with a domestic dispute on Poplar Forest Drive. Both parties were separated and officers cleared without incident.

August 25 – Elijah Schnell, 21, was cited with disorderly conduct.

August 26 – Police were called to Rhoads Hall for an individual that was passed out at the entrance of the building. Slippery Rock EMS was dispatched and transported the individual to Grove City Hospital.

August 26 – An officer observed an individual throwing up at West Lake Lane. The individual refused medical treatment. Case referred to Student Standards.

August 26 – Health Center requested an officer on standby for an individual in need of medical assistance. No further action was taken by the officer.

August 27 – Police were dispatched to ATS for an individual who was passed out. The individual was transported to Health Center.

August 27 – Police were dispatched to Rock Apartments for an odor of marijuana. Nicholas Harmon, 18, was cited with disorderly conduct.

August 27 – Health Center called dispatch requesting an ambulance for an individual in need of medical attention. Ambulance was dispatched and the individual was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital.

August 27 – Police were dispatched to Kiester Road for a on-reported accident. Individuals exchanged information and no injuries were reported.

August 27 – Borough Police requested assistance to Madison Grove on an individual with a felony warrant. The individual was in custody upon officer’s arrival.

August 27 – Police received a call for a dog was that tied up at the construction site by BSB Commuter Lot. Officers located the dog and the dog had food and water.

August 27 – An individual reported that their vehicle was hit in the Boozel staff parking lot. When an officer observed damages, a note with person’s name and phone number were found on windshield. Contact was made and information was exchanged.

August 28 – Borough Police requested information for vehicle blocking road crew from doing work on School Drive. Dispatch was able to locate the owner and contact them to have the vehicle moved.

August 28 – Police responded to a call from building F for an individual who was stung by a bee and was allergic. EMA was dispatched. The individual refused medical treatment.

August 28 – Police received a call from a community assistant in Building E for an odor of marijuana. The individual was located. Charges are pending.

August 28 – Police received a complaint from an individual being harassed by his roommate in Building E. The individual was advised to make contact with Residence Life and Housing.

August 28 – Policed were dispatched to Patterson Hall for verified fire alarm activation. Office detected smoke and a rubber smell coming from building. Multiple fire departments were dispatched. Maintenance and Health and Safety personnel were notified and responded. Patterson Hall was searched and no origin was found for the cause of smoke. Maintenance was to check the building in the morning. The building was cleared by fire department and the alarm was reset.

Hannah is a senior secondary English education major and communication minor entering her third year on The Rocket staff and her second year as editor-in-chief. Previously, she served as assistant news editor and covered Student Government Association affairs. After graduation, she hopes to teach English, communications and journalism to high school students. Hannah has won numerous awards for her writing and design work with The Rocket and was named SRU's Student Leader of the Year in 2020. Outside of The Rocket, Hannah is also part of WSRU-TV, Sigma Tau Delta and the Honors College.
