With Sunday’s track meet at Indiana University (Pa.) being cancelled due to inclement weather, The Rock would only send three athletes to compete at the Liberty Invitational this past weekend. Before Sunday’s meet was ever cancelled Slippery Rock was only sending three multi event women to the invitational in Virginia. Those three athletes were junior Sabrina Anderson, senior Paige Kassab and sophomore Kaelyn Keane.

Anderson highlighted the invitational with a first place finish in the heptathlon. With her victory in the seven event competition she would earn a score of 4,372, a mark that was 400 points better than the second best Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference score this season. Paige Kassab placed seventh in the event with a score of 3,897. Paige Kassab was able to clear the NCAA provisional height of 1.69 meters in the high jump. Keane would follow in tenth with a score of 3,146.

The team will compete at Bucknell Saturday and Sunday as well as Westminster on Sunday.
