The Slippery Rock University men’s indoor track and field team will send a trio of standouts to Virginia Beach, Va. over the weekend for the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships.

Logan Anderson, Drew Layton and Seaton Wozniak’s impressive performances at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships last week earned them selections to the National Championships.

Anderson and Wozniak headlined the conference championships for The Rock after breaking a pair of records, leading to a runner-up finish for the team. Slippery Rock took second place with 102.5 total points, falling only to Shippensburg with 181.5.

Anderson, a sophomore from Edinboro, Pennsylvania, will represent Slippery Rock in the heptathlon event. After being named the 2024-25 PSAC Freshman of the Year, he built upon his successful rookie season in his sophomore campaign. Anderson was named the PSAC Indoor Championship Field MVP after breaking both the SRU and all-time PSAC record in the heptathlon behind a 5,298-point performance, earning 15 total points for SRU in the event.

In the pole vault, Layton will make his second consecutive appearance at the indoor nationals after finishing sixth last time around with a school-record clearance of 5.24 meters. A junior, Layton finished second in the PSAC Championships to earn a trip to Virginia. The Waynesburg, Pa. native owns the SRU and all-time PSAC outdoor pole vault record, with an additional school record in the indoor event.

Following an 18.40-meter mark at the PSAC Championships, Wozniak qualified for the National Championships. The mark, which broke his own previous SRU record, clinched his first conference title on the final throw of the competition. At last year’s indoor championships, Wozniak placed 15th, while also earning an All-America selection at last year’s outdoor championships, following a 10th-place finish.

The Championships start Friday, March 13 with the heptathlon event at 10 a.m., and conclude Saturday night.

Meanwhile, the rest of Slippery Rock’s men’s and women’s track and field rosters will look ahead to the 2026 outdoor season, beginning March 21 in California, Pa.
