Slippery Rock cruised past Lock Haven University, earning a four-game sweep last weekend.
The offense was the story of the weekend for the White and Green, posting eight runs in three of the four games. This included two seven-run innings for The Rock.

Tyler Cerame hit two doubles across the four games, putting him in a three-way tie between Stone Powell and Wiesen. They all have eight doubles.
Powell also crushed his first triple of the season, also adding on two more RBI’s.
Nate Malak continues to dominate the mound, hurling another complete game during game one. Malak is now 5-0 this season.
Game one
The Rock got the ball rolling early in their 8-4 victory in game one.
Seven of those eight runs came in the first inning.
The scoring started off from an error made by the pitcher, allowing a run to come across. Cerame then made them pay, mashing a 2 RBI double to bring their lead to 3-0.
The White and Green continued to score four more in the inning before Powell hit a sacrifice fly in the second, scoring their final run of the game.
The offense went quiet for the rest of the game, but Malak held his ground out on the mound.
Malak did run into some trouble, giving up three earned runs and one unearned run, but ultimately finished out the game by himself, bringing Slippery Rock to the victory.
Game two
Once again, The Rock jumped out to a very early lead in game two earning them an 8-2 win.
Jimmy Sadler crushed a bases-loaded double in the second, clearing the bases and giving them a 3-0 lead.
Lock Haven cut the lead down to 3-1 from a balk in the bottom of the third, but they were not able to make anything out of it, only scoring one more run throughout the game.
Slippery Rock wasted no time, scoring three more across the fourth and fifth innings, extending the lead to 6-1.
Hunter Loomis started to face difficulties in the sixth, allowing a run off of a single. His day ended after 5.2 innings pitched and only striking out one.
Mark Wilbur then came in and earned himself another save.
Game three
The Green and White had another eventful first inning, scoring four runs in the 4-3 victory.
Michael Kitko notched an RBI double and Powell hit the 2 RBI triple, making it 3-0 in favor of Slippery Rock.
Cerame finished the scoring for them on a groundout to the shortstop.
The Bald Eagles slowly started to eat away the lead, scoring a run in the second and another one in the third.
Lock Haven made a huge comeback effort in the fifth inning, fighting back to a 4-3 deficit. They had a runner on second with only one out, but Joe Purcell was able to escape the jam.
Wilbur came in and shut the doors for two innings, bringing him to his fifth save of the year.
Game four
Unlike the other games, The Rock struggled until a late offensive explosion in an 8-6 win.
Both teams plated a run in the third inning, before Lock Haven took the lead again. They managed to gain their largest lead of the series, taking a 4-1 lead in the fifth inning.
By no surprise, Slippery Rock did not hang their heads, exploding four seven runs on five hits in the bottom of the fifth, taking an 8-4 commanding lead.
The Bald Eagles tried to have some late-game heroics, crushing a two-run homerun in the seventh, but their comeback effort came to an end, finishing the game 8-6
The Rock are now tied for second in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West standings, as they try to make another push for playoffs. They will host Cedarville University in a non-conference game on Tuesday.
