Anna Igims continued her run of track dominance at the Jud Logan Light Giver Invitational at Ashland University this weekend.

The invitational was a two-day meet that started on Friday and ended Saturday night.

Igims competed in the mile and the 3,000 meter-run, both of which took place on Saturday. She took second place and set personal best times in both events.

The distance runner’s mile time of 4:55.10 was good for an NCAA provisional mark, a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) mark and the SRU school record. Her 3,000-meter time of 9:52.72 was also good for NCAA and PSAC marks.

Lydia Reed landed herself a PSAC mark by placing third in the unseeded 400-meter dash with a time of 59.03. The sophomore also ran with The Rock’s 4×400-meter relay squad where they finished seventh out of 26 teams.

Samantha Gilbert, also a member of the 4×400 team, joined Igims in setting a new SRU best, this time in the 60-meter dash. Her time of 7.64 was also good for a second-place finish and a PSAC auto mark.

The three-time All-PSAC honoree also earned a PSAC mark in the 200-meter dash and long jump after finishing in the top 8 in all four of her events.

Olivia Heckman grabbed second place, and a PSAC mark, in the shot put with her 13.48m throw.

Baylee Blauser earned two PSAC marks in horizontal jumping events, placing third in the long jump at 5.64 meters and eighth in the triple jump at 11.13 meters.

Freshman Jianna Long brought in The Rock’s third NCAA provisional mark after an eighth place, 56.60 second time in the 400-meter dash.

Between the shot put and the pole vault, the White and Green brought in six PSAC marks. Rebecca Martin and Savannah Schneck joined Heckman with the qualifying marks in shot put. The pole vault marks came courtesy of Grace Parrett, Addison Lyles and Allison Taylor.

The Rock totaled 23 PSAC marks to go along with their three NCAA provisional marks at the meet.

SRU women’s track and field continues the indoor season with the SPIRE Indoor Games at the Spire Institute of Geneva, Ohio next Saturday.
