November 20- University Police received a fire alarm activation alert and dispatched safety personnel to the Rock Apartments. Upon arrival they determined burnt olive oil was the cause, the alarm panel was then reset.
November 20- University Police responded to a fire alarm at Rhoads Hall. When officers arrived, the building had been evacuated, and they determined burnt food as the cause. The alarm was then reset.
November 21- University Police responded to an e-phone activation by Old Main, upon arrival officers could not locate the individual who active the phone.
November 21- University Police were called to Patterson Hall for a person who fell and was bleeding. Officers provided first aid until Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived.
November 21- University Police received a smoke detector activation in the Rock Apartments. Upon checking the room, officers identified it as burnt food.
November 21 – University Police received a smoke detector activation alert in Building B. Upon arrival, officers could find no cause and reported the issue to maintenance.
November 21- University Police received a report of an accident on Stadium Drive. University Police took a report, but were advised to notify the insurance carrier.
November 23- University Police received a welfare check on a person in Building B. Officers spoke to the individual and provided them with Slippery Rock University (SRU) resources.
November 23- University Police received a call about a theft at Rocky’s. The investigation is still ongoing.
November 24- University Police received a report of theft of multiple items from a dorm room in Rhoads Hall.
November 24- University Police responded to a sprinkler activation at Carruth Rizza Hall. Upon arrival, the building was checked and found to be fine. The alarm may have been triggered from a brief power outage.
November 25- University Police received a phone call from a staff member at the Art Metals Building who reported that an individual was feeling ill and appeared pale. They refused EMS or police assistance.
November 25- Slippery Rock Borough Police requested assistance with an individual who had a warrant for theft by unlawful taking out of Allegheny County. When University Police arrived at Fairview Drive, the person was not at the residence. No further action was taken.
November 26- University Police received a call to check on a person at Watson Hall. Upon arrival, they found the person was fine, and only not answering due to their phone being dead.
November 26- University Police were called to Rock Apartments by a Community Assistant (CA) for an alcohol violation. When police arrived, they identified all individuals as of age and will be referred to Student Conduct for policy violation.
November 26- Police were called to Camus Drive over bike theft. The case is under investigation.
November 27- University Police received an alarm in Building D’s service room. The room was checked and nothing was found, and the alarm was then reset.
November 30- University Police were called about a reported theft at Rocky’s which is currently under investigation.
December 1- University Police responded to call for an individual who fell off their electric scooter outside of Building E. When police and EMS arrived, the individual reported being in a lot of pain and was taken to Grove City Medical Center.
December 1- University Police responded to a traffic accident off of Service Drive. The responding officer spoke to both parties; no injuries had occurred, and both vehicles were able to drive off. Proper information was exchanged.
December 1- Police responded to an activation of the elevator emergency phone in Watson Hall. The dispatcher determined the call was an accident.
December 1- University Police were dispatched for an individual experiencing stomach pain on Innovation Drive. The EMS team evaluated them, but the individual refused any further treatment.
December 2- University Police responded to a report of an individual in Building A that entered a dorm without permission. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with the person who had a cut above their eyebrows and appeared confused during the conversation. EMS arrived on the scene and took the person to Grove City Medical Center.
December 2- University Police responded to an individual experiencing tremors in their right eye in Building D. The tremors then spread to their neck, chest and torso. The person was sent to Butler Memorial Hospital.
December 2- Slippery Rock Borough Police requested backup for an individual with an active warrant. The individual was apprehended and transported to Butler County Prison.
December 3- University Police received a call from a CA in Rhoads Hall, requesting they check on an individual who appeared severely intoxicated. Upon arrival, the individual was combative with officers and refused to follow orders. As a result, they were taken into custody, processed and transported to Butler County Jail.
