Sept. 17– University Police responded to a fire alarm activation at Weisenfluh Dining Hall. Upon arrival the cause was identified and the panel was reset.
Sept. 17– University Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Harmony Road. Both motorists were unharmed and refused medical services. Investigations are ongoing.
Sept. 17– Slippery Rock Borough Police requested University Police assistance with a traffic stop on Grove City Road.
Sept. 17– University Police and EMS responded to an individual who fell and struck their head causing bleeding in North Hall. EMS treated the individual who then refused medical transport.
Sept. 18– University Police and EMS responded to an individual experiencing abdominal pain in Building F. The individual was transported to Grove City Medical Center.
Sept. 18– University Police responded to a fire alarm activation in Weisenfluh Dining Hall. No cause was found and the alarm was reset.
Sept. 18– University Police responded to a call for a highly intoxicated individual at Building F. The individual vomited in the building lobby; University Police found the individual and called EMS. The individual refused medical treatment, one of the individual’s friends was contacted to stay with them. The individual received an alcohol citation.
Sept. 19– University Police received a call for a vehicle on campus drive with multiple occupants driving around and yelling at people. University Police were unable to find the vehicle on arrival.
Sept. 19– University Police received a call reporting a highly intoxicated individual who was unconscious in Watson Hall. University Police and EMS responded but the individual refused medical treatment and was taken into custody. The individual was cited and released to their parents upon arrival.
Sept. 19– University Police on patrol spotted a car with the driver’s side door open in Lower Stadium Lot C. The approaching officer identified the driver sleeping, and the driver was taken into custody. DUI charges are pending blood test results.
Sept. 19– University Police received an E-phone activation at Building A. It was identified as being mistakenly pressed.
Sept. 19– University Police responded to a noise complaint at Building D. Responding officers told the individuals to keep it down.
Sept. 20– Slippery Rock Borough Police requested assistance at Sheetz for a large crowd of individuals who refused to leave. The crowd dispersed upon arrival, no further action was taken.
Sept. 20– University Police conducted a traffic stop by McKay Education Building that led to multiple alcohol violations.
Sept. 20– University Police received an E-phone activation at Building B. It was identified as being mistakenly pressed.
Sept. 20– University Police observed a knocked down stop sign on campus, the sign was replaced with a mobile stop sign. The incident is currently under investigation.
Sept. 20– University Police and EMS responded to an individual experiencing a localized seizure in Building B. The individual was transported to Grove City Medical Center.
Sept. 20- University Police responded to a noise complaint at Building D. Responding officers spoke with the complainant who said the issue was ongoing. University Police are currently investigating.
Sept. 21– University Police responded to a fire alarm activation at Building E. Responding officers could not identify the cause and reset the alarm panel.
Sept. 21– University Police responded to a fire alarm activation Rhoads Hall; the building was evacuated upon arrival. Responding officers identified the cause to be steam from the men’s showers. Residents were permitted to re-enter.
Sept. 21– An individual came to the University Police Station to report that, while running, they were struck by a car who failed to stop. The incident is under investigation.
Sept. 21– University Police and EMS responded to an individual experiencing a localized seizure in Rhoads Hall. The individual refused medical treatment, and no further action was taken.
Sept. 21– University Police received report of a black truck speeding and drifting in full circles in the middle of an intersection on North Road. Responding officers were unable to find the vehicle.
Sept. 21– University Police responded to a fire alarm in Rock Apartment 4. Officers identified the cause as burnt food.
Sept. 22– University Police responded to multiple E-phone activations, responding officer arrived to find no one present. Rain showers in the area may have caused the activations; the issue was reported to IATS.
Sept. 22– University Police received a complaint an individual was being threatened through social media by their roommate. Police spoke with both parties, and the incident was referred to Student Standards.
Sept. 22– University Police responded to a fire alarm in Building F. Officers determined that a resident had burnt chicken patties in a microwave. The alarms were reset.
Sept. 22– University Police responded to an ongoing noise complaint in Building D. Officers spoke with the resident and advised them to keep the noise down. Charges are pending.
Sept. 23– University Police responded to a complaint of vehicle damage in the Morrow Field House track parking lot. The incident is under investigation.
Sept. 24– A staff member called University Police to report that while parking in West Lake Commuter Lot, they spotted and adjacent car with a damaged windshield. The incident is currently being investigated.
Sept. 24– Butler 911 dispatch contacted University Police and were transferred to a caller who reported that their friend made comments indicating possible self-harm. Upon arrival police contacted the individual and Butler Crisis was contacted. Butler Crisis advised officer the individual was safe and they would proceed with a follow-up.
Sept. 24– University Police received a report of several individuals on a fire escape speaking to an individual on the ground at Old Main. Police spoke with the individuals, who advised that they were filming a promotional video for an upcoming school play and had permission from a staff member. The officer advised them not to proceed to the second landing and to use only the first landing due to safety concerns. No further action was taken.
Sept. 25– University Police are investigating a report of a car being damaged in West Lake Parking lot.
Sept. 25– An individual contacted University Police to report a sexual assault that occurred in 2025. The incident is under investigation.
Sept. 25– University Police and EMS responded to an individual experiencing a seizure at Scarnati Marching Band Field. Upon arrival, the individual refused medical treatment.
Sept. 25– University Police and EMS were dispatched for an individual who wrecked their bike in the woods around Building B. The individual was experiencing pain in their elbow and was sent to Grove City Medical Center.
Sept. 25– Pennsylvania State Police requested assistance for a large crowd at the University Village. The individuals refused to provide ID or disperse. Upon arrival of University Police, the individuals were gone.
Sept. 25– Butler 911 contacted dispatch that an individual was experiencing flu-like symptoms in Building B. When officers arrived, EMS were on scene treating the individual. The individual’s parents made contact with EMS, informing them of an allergy possibly contributing to symptoms.
Sept. 25– University Police received report of a naked male running through parking lots. Responding officers were unable to find the individual.
Sept. 26– An individual contacted University Police reporting that they were being followed. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the individual who said they believed another individual was following them while walking in the same direction. The dispatcher advised the officer did not see anyone following them on campus security cameras.
Sept. 26– University Police were requested to respond to an individual who possibly overdosed at Giant Eagle. Upon arrival, officers and EMS were not able to find anyone.
Sept. 26– University Police assisted with the landing of a medevac helicopter on Old Thompson Field.
Sept. 27– University Police responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated person in Building E. Responding officer made contact and assessed the individual was not intoxicated.
Sept. 27– University Police are investigating a report of a theft of a scooter.
