The Rocket

Jonathan Janasik, News Editor
I’ve heard quite frequently that nothing ever happens in Slippery Rock. As the News Editor of the Rocket, I believe that it’s my job to set the record straight. The news section of the Rocket publishes three to five articles per week. So logically this means that at least three to five things happen in Slippery Rock every week. It looks like this campus isn’t a ghost town after all! But why is somebody who is majoring in English and Philosophy working among a bunch of journalists? I don’t just do it for the fans. I love the thrill of the hunt, the rush of finishing a job on a tight deadline, and being the first one to know the newest and most exciting scoops around town. But of course the fame and fortune is nothing to scoff at.
