The Rocket

Emma Pfeifer
If you know me, you know that nine out of ten times you ever see me, I am usually dancing. Whether it be while I’m standing, sitting, walking, talking or sometimes even running, being still is not really an option for me. I am always thinking of new ideas and wanting to jumpstart them immediately. I discovered that if I focus my energy not only on dance but also on my academics, then I could really do something with this passion of mine later in life. During the spring semester of my sophomore year I heard about an opening opportunity to potentially be on The Rocket staff. I knew that I did not have any experience with anything like this before, but a voice in my head kept telling me to try to pursue whatever gut feeling I was getting. I applied and had an interview shortly after, then I received a call informing me that I was the new Campus Life Assistant Editor. Not only was I excited to be able to start to improve myself in this position, but I was excited that I get to cover events that involve other students and faculty. If you want to make memories at college, you make them with other people. I love watching people do what they are passionate about and being able to write about it, simply makes it better.
