February 11- University Police received a call from Butler 911 advising that an ambulance had been dispatched for an individual in Building B who was experiencing abdominal pain and vomiting. Police and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived on the scene, and the individual was transported to Grove City Medical Center.
February 11- University Police received a call from an individual in Building D who stated that, upon returning to their dorm, they found the door standing open. They checked the room and found nothing out of place or missing. Upon the officers’ investigation, it was found that an overnight guest had left the room after the resident and had failed to secure the door.
February 13- University Police received a call from an individual stating that they were receiving multiple notifications on their cell phone saying that their vehicle, which was parked in the Lower Stadium Lot, was repetitively starting and then turning off. They requested an officer check on it. Upon the officer’s arrival, they discovered the car was not running. The officer relayed this information to the caller, who then stated that their father had installed an aftermarket remote starter and that it may be malfunctioning.
February 14- An individual from Building A called stating there had been a theft. After police investigation, it was determined that no theft had occurred.
February 14- University Police received a call from an individual in Rhoads Traditional Hall about possible harassment. After speaking with the victim, he stated that he wanted nothing to be done. Police gave the individual resources to follow up with if needed.
February 14- Police received a call to check on an individual on West Cooper Street who had been the recipient of a disturbing email. The individual was checked on and had had a panic attack. After the individual was deemed okay, they were given resources to contact if needed.
February 17- University Police received a call about an individual outside of Swope Music Hall who appeared out of place: a white male with a beard, wearing glasses, a plaid shirt and a hat. An officer checked the area but was unable to find anyone matching that description.
February 19- University Police received a call about an individual who was slumped over their driver’s wheel in the McFarland Rec parking lot. The responding officer arrived on the scene and was unable to get the individual to respond. EMS arrived on the scene and treated the individual. The individual was intoxicated and refused chemical testing. Charges are pending for driving under the influence (DUI).
