October 17th- University Police received a call from a concerned parent regarding their son’s girlfriend who was reportedly staying in his room in Building D. When the responding officers arrived at the son’s apartment, the girlfriend was not present. The officers then went to the girlfriend’s room and found that she was okay. No further action was taken.
October 18th- University Police received a call from someone who observed an individual stumbling in Lower Stadium Lot A and thought they may be intoxicated. This person was with five others at the time. When the responding officers arrived, they checked the parking lots but were unable to locate the individual. The dispatcher later determined that the individual had entered a residence hall and was with another person.
October 18th- While responding to a call, University Police observed two vehicles attempting to park that had made contact with each other in the East Lake Parking Lot. The officer spoke with both drivers, who confirmed they were uninjured and both vehicles were drivable. They exchanged all necessary information, and no further action was taken.
October 18th- During the football game that took place in the Mihalik-Thompson Stadium, University Police reported that a player assaulted a spectator causing them a head injury. They requested an ambulance and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived shortly thereafter. The individual refused any further medical treatment. The incident is currently under investigation.
October 19th- University Police received a call from a CA in Building B regarding a noise complaint. Upon the officer’s arrival they spoke with the CA, who indicated that this was a recurring problem with this specific residence. The officers made multiple attempts to contact the residents but they refused to answer the door. The incident has been referred to Student Conduct for further action.
October 19th- The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) requested assistance from University Police in locating an individual who had fled from them earlier. University Police managed to locate the individual at Building B, who was found intoxicated. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were dispatched and arrived on the scene. The individual refused further medical treatment. The individual’s guardian was contacted to come to campus and pick them up. The PSP is handling further investigation.
October 19th- University Police are investigating a report of criminal mischief that took place on Zimmerman Field.
October 20th- University Police responded to a vehicle that allegedly entered the roadway on Keister Road, causing a bicyclist to swerve off the road and collide with a tree. No injuries were reported, and the incident is currently under investigation.
October 21st- University Police received a call from an individual reporting that a vehicle parked in the Ski Lodge Parking Lot had its engine and headlights on for the past three hours. When the officer arrived, the vehicle was still running and there was no one inside. The officer entered the vehicle, turned off the engine, and secured it. The dispatcher was able to contact the owner of the vehicle.
October 22nd- University Police were requested to conduct a welfare check on an individual because their guardian had not heard from them since the day prior. The investigating officer made contact with the individual who was in Building B and found them to be fine. The individual reached out to their parents to talk. No further action was taken by the police.
