February 28- University Police received a call from Butler Control that they had dispatched an ambulance for an individual in Building E having abdominal pain. Police and EMS arrived on the scene. The individual stated that they were at Grove City Hospital the prior evening. EMS determined that the individual did not have to go back to the hospital at this time.
February 28- University Police received a complaint about two unknown females in the swimming pool area at Morrow Field House who were taking pictures of minor swimmers. The incident is currently under investigation.
February 28- University Police responded to a hit and run report at Lower Stadium C. The investigating officer determined that one parked vehicle rolled into another. Both parties exchanged the required information.
March 1- University Police received a call from the CA at Building F requesting a welfare check on an individual who was believed to be highly intoxicated. Police and EMS arrived on the scene, and the individual was transported to Grove City Medical Center. The case has been referred to Student Standards.
March 1- Butler 911 called University Police to assist EMS and the fire department for a highly combative, intoxicated individual at University Village. Police arrived and detained the individual until PSP arrived.
March 1- University Police, while on patrol, noticed two individuals staggering along Service Drive and covered in mud. Both individuals were highly intoxicated. An ambulance was dispatched to check on their well-being. Charges will be filed by the officer at a later date.
March 1- An officer returning from a call noticed a male standing on Kiester Road by the Baptist Church waving the officer down. The officer stopped the car and asked if they were okay. The individual was highly intoxicated and requested a ride to campus. The officer discovered another intoxicated individual and asked for assistance from EMS and PSP. Both individuals will be cited by PSP, and one individual was taken to the hospital by EMS.
March 1- University Police, while on patrol, noticed an individual climbing a fence who fell at Critchfield Park. The officer arrived on the scene and dispatched an ambulance. Police observed signs of intoxication. Charges are pending.
March 3- University Police responded to a fire alarm activation at Building B. Upon their arrival, the building was evacuated. It was reported that a drying machine on the second floor was smoking, but the officer determined that it was the washing machine emitting smoke. No fire was observed, and the unit was unplugged. The residents were then permitted to re-enter the building.
March 3- University Police received a call from an individual reporting that people were yelling at protesters near the 9/11 Memorial at Central Loop. When the police arrived, they spoke to one individual still at the scene. The other individual had left the area. The incident is currently under investigation.
March 4- University Police received a call from someone asking an officer to check on an individual who appeared to be sleeping in their vehicle in the East Lake Parking Lot. The responding officer spoke with the individual, who explained they had returned late the previous night and did not want to walk to their room.
March 4- University Police were notified by mailroom staff at the Campus Success Center that they received a package of alcohol purchased through Amazon. The investigating officer spoke to the recipient, who was under the age of 21. Charges are pending.
March 4- University Police responded to an individual who fell off of a scooter and was injured at the Union Commuter Lot. Police and EMS arrived, and the individual was transported to Grove City Medical Center.
March 4- Slippery Rock Borough Police requested assistance from University Police regarding an individual who had allegedly locked themself in the bathroom on South Main Street. The individual was reported to be the ex-husband of another individual involved. All police units arrived on scene. After clearing the apartment, they found no one inside.
March 5- University Police received a call from an individual who stated he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle on Central Loop at Field House Road. Police spoke to the driver, and no injuries were reported.
March 5- University Police received a call from a professor requesting an officer to check on an individual who may need medical treatment at ATS. The officer made contact with the individual, and they are okay at this time.
