The Rocket

Megan Bush, Campus Life Editor

As long as I can remember, I've loved reading and writing, so much so that when the time to pick a major came around, I decided to study journalism.  I've experienced so much negativity from the media, and I hope to contribute to a more open and welcoming future by adding more positivity and truth through my work.

When representatives from The Rocket arrived in my FYRST Seminar classroom, I knew immediately that I wanted to be part of it.  After contributing to the Campus Life section for months, I applied for and was awarded the position of Campus Life Editor for the 2016-17 academic year.

Excluding my involvement with The Rocket, I am also the Documentarian for SRU Musical Theatre Society, as well as a member of the Marching Pride Color Guard.  While I'm at home, I volunteer at my local library and co-direct a small theatre group called Storybook Theatre.

I'm very much looking forward to learning and growing as a person, as a student, and as a journalist with the help of my position and my co-workers at The Rocket.
