The Slippery Rock Student Government Association (SGA) voted to approve the creation of a committee to determine what action it will take and what is most appropriate when a member of the community is lost.

The committee was approved during the regular senate meeting Monday evening and will be chaired by Senator Alex Merida.

Following the passing of Frank Monteleone Jr. last week, Merida said the first thing that the committee will talk about will be recent deaths in the community.

Another expected point of examination will be the action taken by SGA when an alumni passes.

The minutes from the previous meeting and the motions from the last Board of Cooperative Activities meeting were also approved.

Senator Maria Montero was named “liter” of the week for her work on the commuter senator project. The “liter” of the week receives a decorative water bottle from the executive board in recognition of their contribution to the Student Government Association. The Pepé le Plank award was given to Vanessa Dufford.
