Thoughts shared concerning on and off-campus living

To live on-campus or not live on-campus? That is the question that most students must face at one point in their college careers. However, what many students may discover, as with most decisions in life, there are always positives and negatives. According to Residence Life, approximately 2,800 students live on campus in Watson, the Rock Apartments and residence halls A through F.

Long lunch lines at Rocky's, Weisenfluh create problems

With Boozel Dining Hall being renovated and remodeled, the exceptionally long lines for Wiesenfluh Dining Hall and Rocky's Grille aren't a surprise. A lot of SRU students are wondering if these long lines are necessary. The construction of Boozel Dining Hall began in the summer and is expected to continue until January 2009.

Student voters can make difference in upcoming election

SRU's Center for Student Involvement and Leadership (CSIL) is educating students about how important it is to vote, and going a step further by arranging transportation to the polls. The CSIL does this as one of its many ways to help students get involved on campus, and to develop leadership skills.

Film's twisting, turning plot keeps viewers guessing

Ladies and gentlemen - the best film of the year [so far] has arrived - and that film is "Traitor." "Traitor's" plot kept me guessing - it twists and turns, winds and weaves, and leaves the viewer breathless during its closing act. I went into this movie with absolutely no knowledge of the plot.

Theater students travel to Scotland to perform original play

Production written, directed by SRU professors, Skeele, Smiley

A select group of students from the SRU theater department traveled to Edinburgh, Scotland this summer from July 29 through Aug. 13 to perform the original play "The Margins" in The Festival Fringe. The Festival Fringe is an event in Scotland that showcases acts such as comedies, musicals, operas, children's shows and dance.
