Library security becomes concern for some workers

The library may be a quiet place, but questions about security have raised an alarm with staff in recent weeks. Several library workers at the Bailey Library have become concerned with the fact that when the only employed security guard isn't available for work, the students are required to handle all situations and to lock up at night.

Faculty to remain voting members

The motion to change faculty members on the Cooperative Activities Board, from voting members to non-voting members, failed at the Student Government Association meeting held yesterday during common hour, meaning faculty members on the Co-Op board will retain their right to vote.

University continues to make campus more accessible

Students, visitors with disabilities have difficulties in certain areas

Having a rolling campus filled with hills and valleys can make for beautiful sight, but it can also cause headaches, especially for those with physical disabilities. In order to combat those headaches, Slippery Rock University is continuing to look for ways in which they can improve accessibility for students and visitors with disabilities.

Court Cases April 29 - Jonathon Paul Sands, 22, Oley, was seen for a DUI. He was released on his own recognance. April 29 - Jesse Eli Nettinger, 29, New Castle, was seen for a DUI, disregarding traffic lanes, and driving without a license. He was released on his own recognance.
