To the editor:
On behalf of SRU Athletes for Forgotten Angels, we would like to thank all of you who turned out for our Spaghetti Dinner of Dreams on Tuesday night at the University Union.
In truth, we had an unexpected, yet brilliant turn-out and truly appreciate your patience as you waited in line to be served.
Your patience was gracious, your spirit wonderful and we hope it was worth the wait!
It did seem from the exit polls (keeping in line with the PA Primary that day), that the response was a positive one.
Our deepest thanks to Bill at Luigi's Restaurant for all his help throughout the event, to Boozel Dining Hall and Rocky's Grille who provided a helping hand down the stretch, and to those professors who encouraged their students to attend.
Again, heartfelt thanks to the Slippery Rock Community for supporting this worthy cause with so many children in need of our compassion and generosity.
Know your participation will help bring a smile to a child in Haiti.
