More education reporting needed

To the editor:
It would be nice to read more about the education process itself at SRU in The Rocket.
For example, it would be nice to know the latest news regarding things happening in the English Department, or over in the new science building. I think The Rocket should publish more articles and information about the actual learning process instead of articles that appear to have nothing to do with education.
If you're going to publish articles about "Slippery Rock water troubles," then please try to relate it to the learning process. In the above instance, the article stated "they [students] were not directly affected" by the incident, so why publish it to begin with?
Perhaps such news should be reported in other media outlets and the space could be used for academic reporting.
