Katie Pietkiewicz, junior special education and elementary education major, agrees.
"I honestly think our world is falling apart," Pietkiewicz said. "The government needs to step up and do something about it."
Andrew Fraser, a junior therapeutic recreation major, was happy to see the organization in the quad.
"I am glad to see that it is a good cause in the middle of the quad instead of Hacky Sacks and pieces of cardboard with s--- written on it," Fraser said.
Megan Gold, a member of AID, got interested in trying to help spread the word a few years ago after doing a project on human trafficking.
"I really got disturbed at how common it is," Gold said, "and this event seems like a great way to get the message out, because it is important for people to be aware of what is going on in the world."
Iksic plans to get a lot more people involved and to spread awareness of important issues going on in the world.
"Issues such as human trafficking are not just everywhere but here. It is happening here, too," Iksic said, "Hopefully this club will bring these kinds of issues to light and open the eyes of the student body."
