Commuter Senator Evan Matthews has been working on the project for a few weeks but has not made much progress.
"I am trying to find somewhere to put a graffiti wall on campus," Matthews said, "but I am pretty much getting shut down by President Smith."
If the wall is erected, anyone on campus wanting to paint with his or her own paints could use the graffiti wall at any time.
"I got the idea from Ohio University's graffiti wall, and I thought it would be a great way for students to express themselves on campus," Matthews said.
Senior marketing major Doug DiGregorio agreed with Matthews.
"It would be a great way to relieve stress and to leave your mark on campus in a way that is acceptable."
SRU President Robert Smith was unavailable for comment.
