College is an experience in itself, with the classes, friends, studying and transition into the real world. But what if that college experience didn't just take place on the campus of Slippery Rock University, but in a different country altogether? If students can proudly state they have spread Rock Pride worldwide, there's a good chance they were a part of the university's study abroad program.

But for some, between the writing of papers and the cramming of dates and facts, some students may begin to wonder if they're in the right major.

What does it take for a person to get their dream job? SRU graduate school alumnus Mike Mumau now knows the answer to this question. Mumau said he knew all along that he wanted his career to be in a field dealing with the environment, and his passion for the outdoors and his drive to succeed helped get him where he is today as the new Park Operations Manager at Laurel Hill Park Complex.
The curtain will open on this year's annual SRU Faculty and Guest Artists Dance Concert in Miller Auditorium at 8 p.m. on Oct. 23. This year, the faculty have choreographed dance works for students at SRU and their special guests, including both a Pittsburgh-based dance troupe called Labco Dance and a dance troupe from an Indian temple in Pittsburgh directed by Jaya Mani, SRU's world dance expert.
