Prof donates money to fund jogging path in Grove City

He said he knew that many people walked in the park but that there was no actual path for recreational walkers and joggers. As a result, he and the Grove City cross country coach discussed ideas and came up with a plan of action and an ideal location.
The path was approved by the Grove City Borough Council in July.
So far, Cleary said he is pleased with the results of the project.
"I go in the morning and see lots of people walking their dogs and jogging," he said. "The (Grove City High School) cross country team also utilized the path in its first home meet (on) Sept. 6."
Cleary said he is thrilled that the construction of the path is done and anticipates that it will get quite a bit of use.
He said, however, that due to the location, he believes it will take people some time to realize that it's back there, but he encourages everyone to come see the new path.
In addition to the jogging path, Cleary said he has also contributed to health and fitness by funding a scholarship named after his parents for track and field teams at SRU for the past 10 years.
