The Rock opened the 2007 season with a bang, taking out Seton Hill last Thursday, 51-24. Their opponent this week will be the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-East foe Millersville Marauders, who were embarrassed by nationally ranked Shepherd, 36-7, in their season opener two weeks ago.

One would think that the Rock would easily roll to victory again this Saturday, but Head Coach George Mihalik has repeatedly told his squad that the Millersville team they have watched on film is not the team they will be taking the field against.

"They opened against a great team in Shepherd," Mihalik said. "I have told the guys that they are going to come ready to play."

The Rock and Millersville are extremely familiar foes, having played against each other in each of the last seven seasons, with SRU taking six of those seven contests. Mihalik knows that SRU will see the real Marauder team this Saturday.

"They know us and we know them, it is as simple as that," Mihalik said. "If you have noticed, all of our games over the last few years have been close, and they have had two weeks to prepare for us. It is going to be a physical game, both sides know that."

When SRU takes the field Saturday, it will be without Colin Golden, the team's leading receiver a year ago, due to a fractured ankle suffered in the season opener.

"That is a big loss for us," Mihalik said. "We are losing the dependability that he brings to every game. He has a knack for getting open and we will miss him."

Stepping in to fill Golden's shoes will be junior Josh Prigorac, who only caught one pass in limited action in 2006. Mihalik said that offensively, nothing has changed with the injury to Golden, and that everyone has full confidence in Prigorac.
