SRU opera an impressive production
Issue date: 5/4/07 Section: Rocket Letters
To the Editor:
Last Sunday my husband and I attended the opera "Die Fledermaus" by Johann Strauss. This production ,which was also seen the previous Thursday and Friday evening at Succop Auditorium, at BC3 in Butler, Pa., was directed by Colleen Grey Neubert andconducted by Stephen Barr.
What impressed me the most was the enthusiastic singing and acting of the talented SRU student cast.
Thanks to the dedication of Neubert , these talented performers will take away more than the knowledge of performing a full length opera. They have learned the importance of teamwork. Thank you for such a delightful evening!
It's wonderful that the University makes quality productions like this available to the community.
