Many students gathered during the hours in which he spoke on campus.
Dan Houlihan, a 21-year-old senior secondary education and social studies major, was on hand to listen to Darrell.
"I have no problem with him defending his faith," Houlihan said. "The only thing I have a problem with is that his arguments are flawed and he should have proof of everything he is telling us."
Houlihan also mentioned that Darrell would start off by saying "this is what I believe" then he backs up the beliefs with shady answers.
One issue that seemed to keep coming up in the discussion was homosexuality. A student came out and told Darrell that she was gay and asked Darrell what he thought of her sexual orientation.
Darrell replied by calling her a "glorious ruin," saying that she was born glorious but has decided to stain herself.
When asked about why not everyone believed in God, Darrell responded in a two-part answer.
"I believe in two things," Darrell said. "Number one, I feel that everyone that is aware of the gospel can either accept it or reject it. Number two, the places where people don't know about the gospel are constantly living in rebellion of God and nature."
Darrell said he is aware that many students are sensitive to the subject of religion, but he doesn't take it personally when people get upset by his words.
"I always wish certain things would have gone differently because I always have people against me, but it went well for the most part," Darrell said.
