Track breaks two school records

For the rest of the women, junior Sunny Daugherty finished second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.61. Senior Melissa Sopher placed third in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.73, while freshman Jessica Sackin finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.97.
For the men at the SRU Invite, sophomore Brian Dell placed first in the shotput with at distance of 15.59 meters. Junior Preston Gibbs finished first in the triple jump with a distance of 14.08.
Papa said that the weather had an effect on the team at the meet.
"The conditions were not great," Papa said. "We did well though, but we are waiting for the weather to turn our way."
The Rock has three meets before the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships: the IUP Invitational, the Penn Relays and the Adams Invitational.
Papa sees these meets as tune-ups for the PSAC Championships.
"We have IUP and the next two weeks are preparing for the PSACs," Papa said. "Everything we do now is getting ready for the conference championships."
The preparation for PSACs begins this weekend, as the Rock will travel to Indiana, Pa., on Saturday.
