Freshman first baseman Jessica Kortz had two home runs in the game, while Rhoades hit her school record 11th-long ball of the season in the second, with both collecting three RBIs on the day.

Sophomore rightfielder Lisa Getgen tallied the other two RBIs in the game, as she went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the third.

Last Saturday, the Rock took on Edinboro (10-16 overall, 3-5 PSAC West) and won both games by scores of 3-1 and 12-11.

"This set of wins puts us back in the playoff race," Coach Vashion Johnson said. "The team stepped up well."

Sophomore infielder Kayla Ray had a pair of game-winners. She slammed a two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning to account for the eventual winning margin in game one. She then hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth inning of game two to bring home the winning score in the game.

Ray finished the day with four hits and four RBIs. Her game one home run was one of four-round trippers hit by the Rock.

Rhoades hit her school record 10th home run of the season in the bottom of the first inning of game two. She finished the day with four hits and four RBIs as well. All of her RBIs came during a 2-for-4 effort in the second game.

Kortz drilled a three-run shot in the second inning of game two. She also had three hits and collected three RBIs, while freshman center fielder Courtney Vincent was 3-for-4 with three runs scored in the second game. Freshman catcher Kim Weindel hit a solo shot in the third inning to account for the Rock's fourth home run.

Conron won the first game in a pitching duel, with Edinboro's Vanessa Rose drawing the loss, as Conron allowed only one earned run on five hits, while striking out three and walking two.

Edinboro fought back in game two, with an offense attack that plated four runs on five hits in the top of the first inning.

The Rock fought back with two runs in the bottom of the first to trim the margin to 4-2 before the Fighting Scots came back to score three times in the top of the second and take a 7-2 lead.
