When new technology is introduced, discussion escalates about its features, benefits and drawbacks. Beginning this fall, identification cards, as SRU knows them, are no more. The university will introduce new radio frequency identification (RFID) cards next year.
During my four years at SRU, I have noticed that the "real issues" on campus are neither being recognized by students nor being changed by the administration. As a reporter for The Rocket, I am required to remain neutral from everything that happens on campus.
With the passage of the 10-year anniversary of the Heaven's Gate "cult" mass suicide, as a country, we seem to have forgotten the merits of a nation that allows such an act of natural selection to take place. There is debate about what exactly defines a cult, however.
