Individuals in all lines of work often join together to fulfill professional goals. In many cases, people who share different ideals are forced to co-exist. Campus organizations at SRU frequently have to work together under such conditions. In this year's Student Government Association election, results were announced in front of the University Union among a large crowd of students from the Poplar, Cornerstone and B-E-S-T parties.
A hot topic in the news lately is the court case of Morse v. Frederick, or more commonly known as the "Bong Hits 4 Jesus" case. This is a case regarding a high school senior displaying a sign across from his high school that stated "Bong Hits 4 Jesus" when the Olympic torch passed through his hometown.
I don't support the war. I feel there are certain policies that should be changed and improvements can be made to the system. However, unlike the other writer who appears on this page, I have never been embarrassed to be an American. My ancestors came over to this country for a better life.
