This studded leather platform wedge is a must have.

Feature Fad: Big is back! We're seeing it everywhere-big belts, big bags, big buckles, big hair, big buttons, big jewelry and now big shoes have all had a big comeback. Platforms are the new stilettos; the higher and hotter the better. This pair from my favorite department store, Neiman Marcus, is a perfect example of the "it" shoes of the season. This Italian-made shoe is a four-and-a-half-inch wedge by Marc Jacobs for $360. It is made of honey-colored textured leather, and is detailed with bronze grommets.

Deal of The Day: The comeback of platforms leads me to the very exciting deal of the day. I usually let you know about big sales or closeouts going on, but to be honest a real fashionista keeps the best secrets to herself. I put a great deal of thought into my decision to let one of my big secrets go public this week.

If you want big shoes this season for a not-so-big price, you need to put on your camo and go hunting. A cute little birdie told me about a Web site where platform shoes with runway personality can be found at jaw-dropping prices.

The Web site is…drum roll please…totallynecessary.com, where you will find skyscraper heels with lofty soles for much less than designer brand costs. I'm going to caution you that totallynecessary.com is geared mostly toward the exotic dancer and stripper audience, but there are tasteful pieces included on the site.

Trend to Try: If your shoes are going to be big, why not go big all over? This season is all about cutting loose and feeling artsy. Poker straight strands and tight curls are so boring, so cut loose with wavy curls and lots of body!

If you have long hair invest in a 3-inch curling iron or some large hot rollers to spice up your look. Once your locks are curled shake them out and define them with a little bit of light hair cream-I recommend the brand Aquage. This look is very Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover of Glamour this month.

If you have short hair or just really want to go dramatic, tease your hair with a comb after you curl it and spray it like crazy with a trusty aerosol like Aquanet.

If you want a polished look, tease either the back or the front very high then pin ends back with bobby pins or a decorative barrette.

Beware: This style severely damages your hair and the environment in more ways than one, but it's so hot right now.

Out with the Old: Juicy Couture velour sweat suits with rhinestone embellishments are out, and Apple Bottoms sweat suits by Nelly are in. They have a cute little embroidered apple sketch with Apple Bottoms written across the left butt cheek.

The Apple Bottoms brand has quickly become quite popular, being mentioned in rap songs, and Oprah swears by their jeans, which means they must be fabulous.

Splurge vs. Steal: Our SRU girl needs a rain coat for the spring. Her splurge option is a gorgeous natural colored knee-length trench by Michael Kors. It has a notched lapel, single-breasted three-button front closure, welt pockets with large buttons and is belted at the waist. This natural colored trench possesses all the qualities of a fab spring coat for $200.

The steal is a natural colored double-breasted trench with an inverted button-down back vent and raglan sleeves. Like its rival, it has the detail of large interesting buttons and is belted at the waist, but it has an individual attribute the former does not: a contrasting colored lining. Our SRU girl can get the same look of a glamorous trench for only $69.99 by Fleet Street at JC Penney's.

Both jackets are lined and are made of cotton and polyester. They also have a waterproof coating for protection from those April showers.

So Ten Minutes Ago -

So 10 Minutes Ago: Cowboy boots - just because stores are still selling them doesn't mean you should still be buying them. Jessica Simpson's "These boots are made for walkin'" look with the blue jean skirt is not hot anymore. Come to think of it, was it ever? If you want to get a jump on trends, you have to be willing to jump off before people can't remember if they were ever hot to begin with.
