What's better than pop-stars taking shots at each other through countless internet posts and ramblings? Nothing, and that's why this week begins with two different situations but very, very similar intentions.
The first case goes to the bubble-gum fight of the century, Good Charlotte's Joel Madden, and former American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson. Apparently, this all began a month ago when Clarkson jokingly told an extremely popular entertainment magazine that she would like to fight Madden's girlfriend Hillary Duff.
The comment was made, jokingly, due to them both being from the state of Texas. Clarkson even threw Beyonce into the mix and said they could all duke it out in an all exclusive Texas battle.
Madden, who either can't read or is incredibly uneducated, didn't get the joke and took shots at Clarkson on his band's website GoodCharlotte.com this week by saying that "American Idol sux" and claiming that Duff "made herself" while Clarkson was only a "contestant on a TV show." For the record, there has been no word from either Duff or Clarkson on Madden's outburst.
If that wasn't enough for you, Las Vegas troublemakers The Killers are at it again, though this time, Brandon Flowers and company aren't the ones causing headlines with their comments. Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz has been taking shots at the new wave pop stars for the past week on both the band's website and their former record label, Fueled By Ramen's website.
You see, the two bands share the same record label, Island Records, and as the story goes, The Killers have reportedly been upset with the fact that the label has not given them the attention they feel they deserve due to the sudden rise in popularity of Fall Out Boy.
The hints began to drop when Wentz posted this note on the band's website, falloutboyrock.com:
"It's funny the way you talk about sharing an A&R guy like it matters. It's too bad you wrote a couple of good songs, otherwise, it'd be that much easier to write you off."
