The events of Groundhog Day have made us feel like winter will never end. But on the bright side, spring break is creeping up on us at a rapid rate, which means beaches, warm weather and cute new swimsuits are in the not-too-distant future.
Spring Break is only a short month away and it's time again to get into shape and shop for new swimsuits. This year popular swimsuit designers have broken out new designs for both men and women that are sure to turn heads on the beaches.
Though you may think that there are only two styles for men's bathing suits, shorts and Speedos, you couldn't be more wrong because this year a new type of suit has made a big splash on the men's scene. However, this type of suit will only be dared by a few select men, as they are a mix between Speedos and shorts. That's right, this year designers have given men another option that honestly is not the slightest bit more attractive then Speedos. And speaking of Speedos, they seem to have gotten even smaller to equal the lengths of women's bottoms, which I am sorry, shouldn't be worn by men. These suits are hardly flattering to the average man unless you have a six-pack and an overall well-toned physique, and even then, they aren't so hot.
Men's patterns never seem to change like women's do. Tropical styles are always big as are solid colors. However, I can't say that I have ever seen too many plaid-patterned suits but they seem to be the choice of a lot of designers this year. Honestly they look more like boxers than swimsuits, and I am not a big fan. In short, men, I suggest that since nothing all that hot seems to be happening in your swimwear department, you're best to stick with the typical board shorts that we all know and love. But don't be afraid to experiment with color.
Now women, though our suits seem to be getting tinier and tinier, they also seem to be getting even more unique.
Bikini tops with skirts are especially hot this season whether they are actually swimsuit bottoms or as cover ups. Items like ruffled skirts and sheer skirt cover-ups are sure to be a hot item this year.
