Task force adopts procedures for situations on campus

Slippery Rock University is ready to combat almost any emergency possible, according to the coordinator of a specially developed task force on campus that worked together for months to create the SRU Emergency and Disaster Response Operations and Training Manual, a comprehensive guide produced to combat emergencies.

State grant gives students with children options on campus

For some students, the choice to further their education may be more difficult if they have a child, but there is help available. The expense of college classes and childcare may be too costly for many people to afford. For some students at Slippery Rock University, the cost of childcare may not be a problem and they may not have to choose between school and their child.

Alpha Sigma Tau hosts District Day

Six Alpha Sigma Tau chapters representing California University of Pennsylvania, Clarion, Duquesne, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Penn State-Behrend, and Slippery Rock, came together this past week to exchange ideas and attend several workshops. The university's Alpha Pi chapter hosted the Tau District's first annual District Day, which was held Saturday, March 1, in the University Union.
