Over 300 tickets were sold for the concert that was organized by the University Program Board as the fall semester's major concert.
I am woman, hear me roar. Women have a lot to say, and they want to be heard. Many women had an opportunity to read a selection of writing that meant something to them to a crowd of a little over 30 people at the annual Women's Studies Prose/Poetry reading.
High in a mother's attic in Butler sits a box stuffed with hundreds of loose pictures for scrapbooking and albums. One of those is of a 3-year-old boy in nothing but his underwear, wearing a pair of 1970s headphones, far too large for his head, and holding a can of Budweiser.
Fleet Foxes is a five-piece band from Seattle, Wash. The band has been working to create vocally arousing songs since the release of their 2006 self-titled Extended Play. After two years, they followed that EP with a second called, "Sun Giant." This release was nothing but a taste of what was to come.
"Transporter 3" is an insane adrenaline rush, a ridiculously fun action film with amazing and impossible stunts that establishes itself as one of the better action franchises out today. The whole "Transporter" franchise was riding on this film. After "Transporter 2" was released, I didn't have much hope for the franchise.
