Faculty member's child diagnosed with blood disorder

Abstract:
Five months ago, Kelly Lindenberg, a faculty member in the physical therapy department, gave birth to a baby girl, Miranda.

Four months later, Miranda was taken to the emergency room because of a long, unexplained fever.

It was discovered that her blood counts were low across the board and that her liver and spleen were enlarged....

Donating blood really is very important. I've only done it once but even if everyone only does it once that would be a great help. Most people never donate blood and that needs to change. The blood we donate saves lives.
