Harris reelected as Mayor of SR Borough

Abstract:
After a hotly contested race for Mayor of Slippery Rock Borough, incumbent Kenneth Harris defeated Frank Monteleone 303-172.

Of the approximately 1,999 registered voters in the area 475 voted in the election.

I woke up early this morning and noticed immediately that ALL of Frankie's signs (literally, dozens and dozens) had already been removed-- obviously taken down in the middle of the night to avoid embarrassment.

What a thumping! I wonder how many thousands of dollars he wasted on ads, signs and bus transportation. All for 172 votes...

Congrats Mayor Harris! I am so relieved you won again. Way to go. Monteleone would have been a disaster. We need old school folks like our current mayor. Go Kenny!
